YUN LIU METAL & MACHINERY SENDIRIAN BERHAD was incorporated in 2001 and formally known as YUN LIU METAL WORKS (YLMW). YLMW was founded in 1978 by Mr.Yap Yun Liu. Mr.Yap was one of the pioneers who started metal sheet fabrication factory in the Johor Bahru Region.

In the early 80’s, YLMW was concentrated in the air ducting, cyclones, electrical trunking and intermediate sheet processing (meaning to shear, bend, roll, and weld) business. We were one of the few companies having more advance machineries at that time and placed us in the better business position to capture the market. However, in the early 90’s as the market get competitive, we felt that we were losing the market competitive edge. We needed to change our business strategy to stay in the market.

In 1993, YLMW had made huge step by investing in Computer numerical control (CNC) punching machine by TRUMPF model TC200R made in Germany. Again, we were one of the few companies bring in such a high precision machinery in J.B. and manage to recapture the market an be able to provide customers with high degree of products accuracy. Later on, we bring in some more CNC Press Brake and CN based Shear machines to support our customer’s needs. In the year 2000, market trend has shifted once again to high quality finishing metal part and we decided to bring in the CNC laser cutting machine by TRUMPF laser Press 260L with high reliability and accuracy. With the advance machines that we have, we are able to produce high precision and quality parts for our customers.

Our company objective is to provide our customers highest standard of products at a very reasonable rate and ultimately develop & create our own product to be marketed.

PROJECTS AND JOBS REFERENCES

1. LRT (Light Rail Transit) – we were responsible for fabricating ancherage and deviators which were casting inside the concrete.

2. ErLab Modular Metal Lab Furniture (French based company) – we were responsible for fabricating 1500 modular metal lab furniture for UMH (University of Malaysia hospital).

3. Airsearch Private limited – we were responsible for design and fabrication for their GERMITORL SERIES S100 metal casing.

4. Technigroup Private Limited – we were responsible for fabricating most of the metal parts for their office system furniture series X3 system.

5. Door Technology Private Limited – we were responsible for fabricating non-rated and fire-rated door frame and door panel under licensed by our customers.

FUTURE PLAN
A new brand factory adjunction is planning to built out progressively. Factory expansion action start with production area expanded, import more advance machinery with quality workers, and built in Research and Development department.

FUTURE INVESTMENT
High tech machinery using to produce quality products is very important. Thereby, advance machinery will be added, which can substitute old machine to carry out better works and faster production requirement.

Besides increase quality from product aspect, we also wanted to improve the quality of our workers. They will be attended to certain related classes and programmes, such as AutoCAD. Machine using method, management classes and other benefit programmes.

A special and unique product is more advance in nowadays business market. Due to this target. Research and Development department will be carry out in coming days. This department is using to renew and maintain the current product, also to facilitate our own brand product design..
